Regina Bartlett is the author of the new book Food, Sweat, & Fears about losing 250lbs with RNY Gastric Bypass and a lot of faith to living her dream of running the NYC Marathon. She’s a blogger and speaker from the gorgeous Rhode Island coastline where she spends her days with her amazing husband Jeff and their combined family of six adult children and two very tiny adorable Chihuahuas named Sid Vicious and Taxi Fitzgerald.
She was a featured speaker at TEDxNewport in March of 2018, sharing her moving talk: These (Jiggly) Arms -Self Value and Life-Saving Weight Loss to a sold out crowd in Newport, Rhode Island.
Regina is passionate about creating healthy and tasty food that is bariatric friendly and her mini-cookbook Healthy Fare: Bariatric Friendly Recipes and Helpful Guides is currently being expanded to a full cookbook complete with stories and anecdotes as well as your favorite recipes made healthy.
Knowing how difficult weight loss and long-term weight loss success can be, Regina shares her experiences on her blog and Facebook page Navigating Weight Loss. These peer to peer relationships are critical especially when so many people still don’t have a thorough understanding of weight loss surgery.
She’s active in her church, sings on the praise team, and is amazed every single day at how God has totally changed her life. After completing her marathon goal, she set her sights on another childhood dream: becoming a Black Belt in Shorin Ryu Karate. You can read about her adventures in life on her blog at navigatingweightloss.com.
TL;DR: Wife, mother, writer, avid crafter, lover of Jesus and tiny dogs everywhere with a story to tell.
